Rules & regulations

Check-In: 2-9 PM.

Quiet Hours: For the enjoyment of all guests, we ask for quiet after 10 PM.

Your Campsite: You will be camped in one of eight secluded sites, or the River View Chalet, which you have selected when you made your reservation. All campsites are provided with running water, a table, food locker, camp stove, fire pit with benches, lantern, and a complete set of cooking utensils. You are expected to leave the equipment in good condition and cleaned and properly put away for the next camper. Only use the pots, pans, and cooking utensils on the camp stove provided. Using them over an open campfire will damage them. The Camp Master will inspect all campsites prior to your departure and campers will be charged for lost or damaged equipment. As a courtesy to others, after 10:00p.m. is “quiet time”.

Drinking Water: Our water is spring fed, sanitized and filtered. Additionally, we have a water bottle filling station near the kitchen that has additional filtration. We encourage all campers bring only refillable water bottles.

Campfires: Firewood is supplied but we request you use it sparingly for environmental reasons. There is ample downed wood in the camp area and bow saws are hanging in the bathroom/shower building if you need to cut more up. Please replace wood in the campsites when you depart.

Garbage: A bag for your garbage will be provided. You are responsible for taking it with you upon departure.

Toilets, Showers & Dish Washing Area: Toilets are easily accessible from all campsites. A wood stove is designed to heat a tank of hot water if the fire is maintained. A dish washing sink, with dish detergent is provided. Please discard all food scrapes in the trash at the campsite prior to bringing your dishes to the cleaning area. Campers are encouraged to do their dish washing there.

Beach & River: A very nice beach with docks and benches is available for your use. There is also a variety of kayaks, canoes, and rowboats for your enjoyment at no charge. The crystal-clear river is great for swimming and boating all summer. A seasonal dam provides over a mile of great boating and deeper water from the first week of June to the end of September. Pack a picnic and head up the river!! Please leave all beach equipment as you found it.

Recreation: There are various trails and the camp road which can be used for hiking. A horseshoe pit is also available. Camp Noyo is in a remote wilderness area and is home to wild animals including: deer, bears, mountain lions, turkeys and smaller mammals. Although we have never had an issue with these animals, it is important to be diligent and we recommend not hiking alone. If you plan a hike it is recommended that you inform the Camp Master or other campers of where you are going and your expected return time.

Safety: As discussed you are camping in a wilderness area with no communication to the outside. Treat camp as a wilderness experience and use caution. Report any emergency to the resident camp master. In the event of a fire or other emergency the Camp Master will sound an air horn (3) times. If this occurs, please come to the Camp Master’s area and await instructions. There is no lifeguard at the beach so attention to safety is highly recommended. Water safety equipment is provided and required when using any of the boats. Children under the age of 12 are not allowed on the beach without an adult present. No boating, swimming, or climbing is allowed within 20 feet of the dam structure.

Dogs: All dogs are to be kept on a leash at all times except for the meadow area. Please clean up after your dog and dispose of the waste in the garbage.

Departing Camp: Be at the parking area with your vehicle loaded for departure no later than 11:00 am. The Camp Master will escort you back out to the assembly area. Don’t forget your garbage!

Prohibited Items:

  • Firearms

  • Deadly Weapons

  • Fuel — Only small camp-style propane cylinders are allowed.
