Let us tell you more

Friendly, quiet camping in the midst of nature’s wonders!

We are four miles north of Interstate 80 at Exit 19, located along the historic Hennepin Canal, a recreational trail covering about 72 miles that offers great bicycling, canoeing or hiking! You can fish the canal for bass, bluegill, crappie, and catfish! Or, if you would prefer, a leisurely ride along the canal on a Surrey Cart to enjoy the tranquil scenery. All of this just directly adjacent to the campground!

Geneseo is known for its craft shops and Victorian architecture. With tree-lined streets and neighborly people, come explore what we have to offer! Many other area attractions are just minutes away.

Whether you’re coming with your RV, a tent or looking to rent one of our cabins or yurt, we welcome you and your family! We have pull-thru sites, full hookups, tent sites and cabin rentals. We know that camping means different things to different people, so we want to welcome each of you, however, you define it!

Cancellations

We understand that sometimes plans change and circumstances arise that may require you to cancel your reservation. While we strive to provide an exceptional camping experience, we also have a straightforward cancellation policy to ensure fairness for all our guests.

If you need to cancel your reservation, we are happy to provide a full refund if the cancellation is made at least 7 days before your scheduled arrival. This allows us to offer the spot to other campers and adjust our arrangements accordingly.

Rules & regulations

Check-In anytime after 3PM, all check ins must stop in the office upon arrival.

Checkout We know it’s hard to leave camp, but checkout time is 12PM for all reservations. If you need a little extra time, you may request a late checkout by calling or texting the office

Quiet Hours: Starting at 10:00 PM and ending at 8:00 AM we prohibit music, bright lights or loud activities. Keep voices low and have respect for neighboring campers. We are known to be a quiet, family-friendly campground and strive to keep it this way.

Drive Slow: All motorized vehicles, and electric scooters/bikes must obey the 5 MPH speed limit at all times while driving on the property. We encourage children of all ages to play on our campground and it’s imperative to keep Geneseo Campground a safe place for families.

Reservation Title: Reservations must be made in the name of the camper staying on-site. Reserving a site for someone else or reserving under a different name may result in forfeiture of the reservation.

Non-Registered Campground Visitors: If you’re a registered guest at the campground with a current reservation, you’re allowed to invite non-registered guests to visit. In an effort to keep all campers safe, any non-registered guest must stop and sign in at the office.

  • Non-registered guest vehicles must park in overflow parking, no extra vehicles allowed at your campsite.

  • Visiting hours end when quiet hours begin.

  • All non-registered guests must leave the campground by 10:00 PM.

Parking & Extra Vehicles:

  • Golf carts are not allowed in the campground.

  • Only one vehicle allowed per site.

  • Overflow parking for extra vehicles is free of charge, but is only available on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Note that some sites may not be large enough to hold both camper and tow vehicles.

  • Please enter the combined length of your camper and tow vehicle when making your reservation.

  • No parking on the grass, we want to keep our park green for everyone to enjoy.

  • Tent Parking: If your tent site does not have a gravel pad, please park in the grassy infield directly across from your site.

Pets:

  • Pets are welcome, but must be kept on a leash at all times.

  • Noisy or aggressive pets are not allowed and may result in forfeiture of your campsite.

  • Pet waste must be picked up immediately by visiting the doggie waste stations located throughout the camp.

  • Don’t leave them outside alone – they get lonely!

Fires: We all love the warmth, smell and glow of a beautiful campfire, but we ask that you refrain from bringing wood from outside the campground. Foreign and improperly dried wood can carry disease and insects that may do tremendous harm to our beautiful trees. We also provide guests with fire pans so we ask that no fires be built on the ground.

Garbage: Please do your part to dissuade the natives (raccoons, coyotes, etc) from foraging on your leftovers! Bring all bagged garbage to the green dumpster near the entrance of the campground. We also provide gray garbage cans throughout the property for smaller trash items.

Recycling: We are committed to doing our part to help heal the planet and ask you to bring your co-mingled recycling waste to the blue dumpster near the entrance of the campground. There are also blue recycling cans throughout the park. Cardboard, plastics recycling symbols with 1-5 and 7 markers and glass are accepted! Please ensure that your recycling does not contain any food waste and break down cardboard boxes.

Smokers: Smoking is allowed on the campground, but we just ask that you respect other guests and dispose of cigarette butts in a proper manner. We also ask that you refrain from throwing cigarette butts into the fire pans.

Mats: To save our grass, please don’t leave mats out on the grass. Please roll them up after use.

Meeting Room: Our meeting room located next door to the campground office and garage is available for rent. Only guests authorized by the person or group on the meeting room reservation can use this space. If the meeting room is not currently reserved, all registered guests staying at the campground can use this space from 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM (meeting room closes when quiet hours begin). Please keep this communal space clean and tidy for all to enjoy.
