This beautiful camping spot and RV Park is situated right in the center of the majestic and historic Sierra Valley.
The close proximity of the RV Park to important sites like Marysville, Sierraville, and the Beckwourth Pass make it an ideal place to stay for anyone interested in the rich and engaging history of the area. Meanwhile, its central location among natural wonders such as the Feather River, Davis Lake, the Tahoe and Plumas National Forests, and even the grasslands of Sierra Valley, makes it the perfect place to camp during a naturalist outing, fishing excursion and other adventures.
Sierra Valley RV Park features a number of conveniences that any vacationer might require. These include electrical, water and sewer hookups, coin-operated self-service laundry facilities, indoor shower areas, quick access to local trading posts and groceries, with propane available for purchase on-site. Of course, although we strive for a complete, away-from-it-all experience, we feature wireless internet for our visitors, available free of charge. Our facilities are owned by locals, and managed and maintained by a friendly, accommodating family team who have made the Sierra Valley area their home for years, and love it. Their expertise in the locale and knowledge of local food, trading, events, and tour opportunities will add that extra accent to your great RV vacation. They can even recommend, or in many cases provide, guides for hunting, wildlife observation, and fishing trips in the surrounding areas.
The Sierra Valley RV Park is located in Beckwourth, California, named for James P. Beckwourth, a pioneer emigrant, trail blazer, and fur trader, among other interesting occupations. He discovered the Beckwourth Pass through the Sierra Nevada mountains in 1851. Discover his story in the town proper, less than a mile down CA-70, just out the front door of the park. The surrounding valley and the Beckwourth Pass were an essential discovery during the blazing of the miles of offshoot routes from the Emigrant Trail, during the gold rush and western settlement of California. The captivating tales of the families and culture that began to flourish here during that time are written in the surrounding hillsides, flow on the banks of the local rivers, streams, and channels, and permeate the clear alpine air of Sierra Valley.
