Not only is our park close to town, but we are also practically right next door to Garden of the Gods and other outdoor attractions such as: the Manitou Incline, Seven Falls, Pikes Peak itself and more!Other than our convenient location our park offers a variety of picturesque views. For example, a beautiful creek runs though our park offering a nice ambiance and view for our Creekside guests. If you're not one for ambiance the opposite side of the park is along a walking trail which offers a quieter stay and Pikes Peak is in view. No matter where you stay in our park you will often find a plethora of wildlife that visit; from deer, and ducks to beavers!

EXCLUSIVELY FOR ADULTS OVER 50!At the Uncompahgre River RV Park, we focus on providing a comfortable and relaxing setting with plenty of space to stretch your legs. Each site provides full hook-ups and concrete pads and patios surrounded by natural grass. We are continually working to expand and improve the park. With over 1/3 mile of river frontage on 29 acres, there is plenty of improved and natural spaces for you to enjoy. The Uncompahgre River RV Park is exclusively for adults over 50.Olathe is a sleepy little town and provides a quiet and peaceful setting for our park. As we are set on the southern town limits, we enjoy the benefits of city water and sewer services with shopping and medical care just blocks away. Highway 50 is over half a mile to the east and traffic noise is minimal here.Wildlife seen in the park include geese, ducks, owls, bald eagles, golden eagles, heron, chukar, hummingbirds, kingfisher, raccoon, skunk, beaver, mink, foxes, and a badger. The river provides sustenance to a variety of animals in this arid region. In addition, there are some nice brown trout in the river. The best time for fishing here is fall through spring, when the river runs clear.Set amongst the cottonwoods flanking the river and corn fields, our park provides the feeling of a remote locale with the amenities of urban life. If you can’t find what you need in Olathe, Delta and Montrose are only 10 miles to the north and south and offer a larger variety of stores, shops and restaurants.Recent improvements include multiple wood sculptures and riverside benches by Ken Braun Jr. of Montrose, expansion of the park to the south, and construction of storage units for golf carts, ATVs or your other possessions and toys. Many more projects are now in the works!

La Veta Pines is one of the best little RV parks in Colorado. La Veta Pines RV Park has been a favorite spot for RV vacationers in the southern Rockies for decades. The RV Park is located in La Veta Colorado within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops and art galleries. We are pet friendly, and can accommodate rigs up to 42 feet.Nestled between the Spanish Peaks and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, we're just 22 miles west of Interstate 25. Stop over for the night or stay for a while, and you'll discover the peaceful beauty of our Southern Colorado Mountains.

The Vestal House & RV Sites

Lincoln and Amy Vestal joined the Colorado Cooperative Company in 1900. Lincoln was heavily involved with the company as president, a director, general manager, and superintendent. They made their home on their acreage on Tabeguache Park in anticipation of the irrigation ditch. They eventually sold their property to the Town Improvement Company. The Vestal property was the most scenic and logical area to build the town. Owners throughout include Mary Buckley, Margaret Galley, Lee and Imogene Fagan, and John and Mary Helen deKoevend. Mr. deKoevend had plans to build a restaurant on the property. Halfway through the construction a medical issue forced him to abandon the project. The restaurant remained unfinished. Left was a brick shell. Christopher and Aimee bought the property in 2017 and renovated the property to what it is today.

And for a night out, the Deerhammer Distillery on Main Street and Eddyline Brewery across from the library are super cool spots.
